Valentines Day Gift Guide

So we are finally getting to the end of January (doesn’t it feel like it has lasted forever!) and that can only mean one thing, its almost Valentines Day! So I thought I would share my Top 10 picks for this Valentines Day, whether you want to treat yourself, or you are looking for a gift for someone you love.

I have tried my best to include a wide range of different baking products all of which I would love as a Valentines Day present (hint if my boyfriend is. reading)

Just Dotty About Cupcakes Rara Womens Apron.- £29.99

How super cute is this apron? I absolutely love the 1950s style of it and the colours are so cute! These come in lots of different colours and designs and they also come in kids sizes. They would be perfect for anyone who loves baking or cooking for Valentine’s day and they aren’t very expensive either.

Happy Sprinkles – Dancing queen £6.50

If you have followed my blog and read my previous posts you will know I absolutely love sprinkles so of course, I had to include these in this gift guide. These ones are Dancing Queen Happy Sprinkles. Happy Sprinkles have lots of different mixes for every occasion including some Valentines themed ones but these would be either a perfect gift for someone who like me loves sprinkles or to decorate a Valentine’s Day themed cake for your loved one.

Fox Ganache Cake Class – £80.00

I have seen more and more people making cakes and instead of using buttercream they are using ganache! Ganache is made from chocolate and cream and can be used for icing cakes. This is a brand new class that Iced Jems are offering at there Cake Decorating School. You don’t need to bring anything to the class with you everything you need will be provided and you will learn how to split and fill a cake, crumb coat a cake in ganache, achieve sharp edges as well as creating the modelling flowers and leaves and details including ears and a tail.

This class is on Saturday 14th March from 10am-3.00pm. To book a spot on the class follow the link above to Iced Jems website.

KitchenAid Artisan 4.8L Stand Mixer, Candy Apple Red – £329.00

Okay, this is quite an expensive Valentines Gift I will admit but I have a Kitchen Aid and I don’t know what I would do without it now. I used it for everything when I am baking and I find that my cakes and bakes have improved since using it, my batter and buttercream seem so much smoother now than they did with my old stand mixer. This KitchenAid comes with a 4.8L Glass Bowl, a flat beater, a dough hook and a wire whisk.

Beginner’s Baking Bible – £15.22

This book is perfect for anyone who would like to try out baking and isn’t sure where to start. It is written by Heather Perine and is full of delicious basic recipes including Fudgy Chocolate Brownies, S’mores Bars, Chocolate Tart and Blueberry Lemon Coffee Cake. The book is split into nine parts going through everything from starting skills, cookie, cake, brownies, pies, bread and muffins. Heather Perine also runs the blog you can check it out for lots more delicious recipes.

Valentines Love Heart Cake Kit – £20.80

Whether you are buying this for a loved one or you are looking for a kit to bake a Valentines Day themed cake to give to your loved one then this is perfect. It contains Wow Cake Sponge Mix, 500g Sugar and Crumbs Velvet Vanilla Flavoured Icing Sugar, Poppy Red Renshaw Ready to Roll Icing, 8” Love Heart Baking Tin, 10” Cake board and 10” Cake Box. Perfect for making the cutest Valentines Day Heart Cake.

Sugar and Crumbs Everyones Favourite Bundle Pack of 5 – £10.00

I have used these icing sugars in the past and they are fab. They come in so many different flavours, the bundle that I have included in this gift guide includes Velvet Vanilla, Strawberry Milkshake, Salted Caramel, Raspberry Ripple and Lemon Drizzle but you can get lots of different bundles too including all about chocolate bundle and the kits favourite bundle. You can use them in pretty much everything you would normal icing sugar in but they taste delicious.

The Baker Notebook – £19.99

How cute is this baker notebook? This would be perfect for writing out ingredients lists or your own recipes. It can be personalised with your loved ones name too. You can get this notebook is softback or hardback options, you can also decide if you want plain, lined or dotted paper inside too.

Nordic Ware Non-Stick Heritage Bundt Pan, Gold – £49.00

Okay, so this is quite expensive for a bundt pan but Nordic Ware bundt pans are incredible quality. You can get them in lots of different designs which make the most beautiful cakes. This tin is made of heavy cast aluminium with a non-stick coating for even baking and look at how pretty it is!

Melamine Cake Stand – £20.95 + extra depending on the size

I have been searching for a cake stand for months and I was so happy when I found these that I had to include it in this list. These stands come in lots of different sizes and colours, the bigger cake stands are slightly more expensive though, but what a great gift to receive for Valentines Day and think how pretty your cakes will look when displayed on one of these cake stands.

Have you decided what you are getting your other half for Valentines Day this year, or are you planning on treating yourself? Please let me know you either by commenting below on this post or on the contact page you can also find me on on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
