This Nutella Ice Cream is made using just 4 ingredients! It is so soft and super creamy and utterly delicious!

I have to admit, I have been lacking with the Ice Cream making this year, I literally have no excuses, because it is so easy to make. This Nutella Ice Cream is one of my favourites. It is made using, Double Cream, Condensed Milk, Nutella, and some Roasted Hazelnuts.

How is this the first Nutella Recipe on my blog? I am sorry it has taken me this long to make something using Nutella and I have to admit I am slightly disappointed in myself that it has taken this long.

I love how easy and simple this recipe is to make and because it is no-churn you don’t need an Ice Cream Maker and you don’t need to mix it every few hours. Just mix all the ingredients together and pop it into the freezer until it has set.

If I was better at planning, I would have posted this recipe during the recent heatwave. Unfortunately, though I decided to give A Spoonful of Vanilla a little bake-over and just happened to pick the warmest week of the year to do it. Never mind though, I am finally sharing it now and it is worth the wait.

So let’s jump straight in with how to make Nutella Ice Cream!

Nutella Ice Cream

Okay, so to start with we need to mix together the condensed milk and double cream. Depending on where you live in the world you might not have double cream, but it is basically the thickest and fattiest cream you can find.

For the condensed milk I used Carnations Sweetened Condensed Milk. Whisk the two together until thick and creamy. I used a hand whisk to do this, but you could also use the whisk attachment on your Stand Mixer or a wooden spoon.

You want the mixture to hold its own shape it will take a few minutes but just keep going.

Once the mixture is thick and creamy add in the Nutella Spread and mix again until fully incorporated.

Finally, fold through the roasted Hazelnuts. The Hazelnuts are completely optional so if you don’t want to add them then just skip this step. The easiest way to fold them through the mixture is by scraping around the side of the bowl and folding the mixture in on itself, then cutting through the middle again folding the mixture in on itself. Fold until the Hazelnuts are evenly distributed.

Now pour the mixture into your pre-prepared tin. I used a 2lb loaf tin, but you could also use Tupperware or basically any kind of container that you can freeze.

If you use a loaf tin wrap the ice cream in cling film and pop it into the freezer. If you are using Tupperware pop the lid on it and put it in the freezer to freeze completely.

Alternatives

So as long as you whip the Double Cream and Condensed Milk until it is thick and creamy you can literally add any flavour to the ice cream.

Why not add some Vanilla Bean Paste or Vanilla Extract for a simple Vanilla Ice Cream, add some Oreos or even Biscoff Spread and some Biscoff Biscuits.

  1. Anything with Nutella in it is the best ever! I’m so trying this when it’s summer here in Australia! Where has this blog been all my life! So many yummy recipes. I’m drooling 🙂

  2. Love this because we’re transitioning from cold to warmer season in Malawi and I just know I’ll be craving some ice-cream. Thanks for a straightforward recipe x

  3. I always think of ice cream as being something long and drawn out to make however your recipe just makes the preparation sound so quick and easy. I don’t know if that’s a good thing because it means I’m definitely going to try and make this by the end of the week. 🤣🤣
Once again thank you for sharing such a lovely recipe.
